There is limited space for 10 vehicles and or 20 people max. First 20 people to pay will be joining us on the trip. Deposits accepted. Full payment must be in by 15 December 2018. Normal club banking details.

A 10 litre fuel can, with fuel lol, must be taken with on this trip.

Below you will find more detail of our estimated daily travelling and route. Some days shows short distances, don’t let that fool you time wise. It can take a long time to complete!

We will be departing from the Engen blockhouse R59 (Randvaal) on the 27th of December at 8 am sharp. From here we head to Ben-Nevis Cherry Farm in Clocolan area. (302km)

The next day (28th) we head out to Suntsani in Queenstown area (439km). Here we camp next to the dam. The next day there will be time to do shopping in Queenstown.

On the 29th we head out to Die Kaia in the Somerset East area (262km). Here we camp next to a picturesque Klein-Vis river. By this time you will know you are not in town anymore…….

The next morning (30th) we head out to Komdomo Campsite in the Baviaans area (288km). To get to the Baviaans we need to go thru the Addo Elephant park and past the Mentz dam. This is to be a promising day as we enter the Baviaans over the mountain.

The next day (31st) we are spending in the Baviaans kloof area working our way to Vaalwater by the end of the expedition day (154km). There is a conservation fee of R43 pp to be paid at the entry to the  Baviaans conservation area.

On the 1st we need to head to Calitzdorp Station (231km) where we would stay 2 days giving you more time to explore (Rooi berg pass, Oudtshoorn, George, surrounding area). I would suggest you do some shopping while you have time.

On the 3rd we head to Gamkaskloof (Die Hell). This is a slow trip with some nice scenery (107km). We will be in The Hell for 2 days giving you more time to explore deeper into this valley and enjoy some of the beverages at the farm house.

On the 5th of Jan it is time to turn north again and head to the Steenbokkie Private Nature Reserve in the Beaufort-west area (193km). This is an interesting spot in the Karoo…it is green while all else is grey.

The 6th we depart for Bethulie (Ou Vellies camp site). This is a long days driving of 407km.

7th Jan 2019. Fun time is over and it will be time to go home!  This is the worst day at 588km!
